How We Work

To assist us in uncovering your past, our dedicated investigators make use of a wide range of census and voters lists as well as birth, marriage, and death indexes.  We also have access to extensive military records, and both immigration and emigration records including passenger ship lists and border crossing records.  Our researchers also make use of newspapers and periodicals, directories, and membership lists where available.

While our research is based primarily on North America, the United Kingdom, and ireland, we also have access to records in both Europe and Australia.  Some records exist for Europe including Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.  There are, for example, extensive records for central and eastern European Jews prior to the Holocaust.

Every good research project requires a detailed starting point.  In terms of genealogy, we require some information from clients in order to ensure success.  While any information about your ancestry is helpful, there are some basic requirements that must be met.  For example, in researching your ancestry in Canada, it is important that you have some names and relevant dates that can be picked up in census information prior to 1912.  Likewise, British and American records also necessitate at least an early 20th century name and date in order to ensure the likelihood of success.
